During these trying times we all feel like we’re loosing our hope. But we do have something or someone to help us stay somewhat positive – and her name is Diana Prince. Of course, movies cannot cure a deadly disease, but they sure can inspire and distract us. With its home premiere on 13th January 2021, the next instalment of Diana’s adventures will be available to watch on PVOD in the comfort of our homes.
Wonder Woman 1984 gives us what we want in a Hollywood film – escapism, fantasy and in this case, optimism. For some people, this film will be a little pick-me-up. For others, a chance to escape out of our homes. We travel to the 80s, which might cause some nostalgia or some laughs from those who never experienced the latest fashion and trends at that time.
In Wonder Woman’s 2017 origin story, we see Amazonian princess Diana Price, played by the stunning Gal Gadot, feel out of place in war-torn Europe. But in this one we see Diana’s love interest, Steve Trevor (Chris Pine), who is out of place. Director, Patty Jenkins successfully reminds us that this is a female-led film – which is why is it is nice to see the male play the damsel-in-distress for once.
Not only this, but Tenet which came out on 26th August 2020 is also available at home too. Directed by Christopher Nolan, the film is a hair-raising thriller which sees an unnamed CIA operative called the Protagonist fighting for the survival of the whole world with only one one – Tenet. He journeys through an unimaginable world of international espionage on a mission that will reveal something beyond time. Not time travel. Inversion. But that’s not all there is to it. The film stars British Asian rising star Himesh Patel and veteran Bollywood actress, Dimple Kapadia as Priya, who holds some very important information.
Be sure to add these two films on your watchlist and get ready to see double the action with these two blockbusters.
Tenet is out now on Digital, 4K, Blu-ray and DVD.
